Mr. Ahn had performed a variety of intellectual property works for 30 years in KIPO(Korean Intellectual Property Office) and KOIPA(Korea Intellectual Property Protection Agency).

While working at the PCT designated office, as examiner for trademarks and geographical indications, and also as design examiner, he focused on the suitability of registration requirements for trademarks and designs. As a member of Rules and Regulations Committee of KIPO he played a leading role in the amendment of the 2014 Enforcement Design Protection Act of Korea, including introducing related design systems, improving exception to lack of novelty, introducing the Hague International Application System, and the improvement of multiple design system and registration of a partially-examined design system. In addition, he contributed to the improvement of the applicant's convenience and system by preparing a draft amendment to the Trademark Act implemented in 2016, including changes to the criteria for judging well-known trademarks.

When Mr. Ahn served as Trademark Judge and Design Expert Judge at the Intellectual Property Tribunal, as an intellectual property legal expert, he performed various trial cases, whick includes trials against a decision to reject the decision against the administrative disposition of the KIPO, trials for invalidation of registered trademark and design rights, trials for revocation of trademark non-use, and also trials for confirming the scope of rights.

Working as International Specialist at EUIPO(European Intellectual Property Office), he conducted some research on the European TAXANOMY system and introduced the HDB to KIPO. When serving as Director of the business management department of the KOIPA, he achieved A grade in the government management evaluation for three years in a row (2019 - 2021) with his leadership of responsibility, harmony and communication.

Mr. Ahn obtained his master's degree in law from the Graduate School of Patent Law, Chungnam National University. Based on his work performance and intellectual property legal knowledge, he had been awarded the Korean Intellectual Property Office's Award for Excellence Examiner in the field of Trademark, Intellectual Property Tribunal's Award for Excellent Judge in the field of Industrial Design. His Awards include the Red Cordial Order(Hongjo Geunjeong Medal) by the Korean Government.

Mr. Ahn also served to promote intellectual property rights education through lectures on trademark and design systems at Kyonggi University, Kookmin University, Chonnam National University and International Intellectual Property Training Institute, Daejeon Regional Small and Medium Business Administration, Seogwipo City Hall, Intellectual Property Tribunal and many others.
